Welcome to 3.19 the blog. This is the journey of a young chef’s passion for food. 3.19 has many meanings. My first day working in a professional kitchen and with a lot of work hopefully a future Restaurant 3.19. The viewers will be able to see and follow the journey on becoming a future restaurant owner. Along the way ill be sharing all of the recipes as well as step by step instructions on how to create restaurant quality dishes at home. Let the journey begin...

Echo en Mexico Ivan was born in the small town of Morelia Michoacan. Immigrated to the U.S at the age of 3, growing up in a full traditional Mexican family cooking was a big part of his life. Enjoyed eating all the food from fresh tortillas everyday to pozole on the weekends. He never helped making the food but sure helped eating it. Senior year in High School he decided to go to school for the one thing everyone likes "food". He's been cooking professionally since 2010, he received all the cooking foundation and skills from chef Steve Griffiths program director at Estrella Mountain Community College. And was given his first job in a professional kitchen by chef Steven Maynard. Who helped shape him into the chef he is today. He loves anything dealing with food he's done everything from ice sculptures to private cooking lessons. Hes worked at the Bohemian Club of San Francisco and was even the assistant for one of the worlds certified master bakers. Ivan is always full of smiles and if your around him prepare to have a bite to eat because as he says "good food + a full stomach = nothing but smiles"
